GENERAL
Q: What are the dates of AAPM&R 2024?
A: The dates for the meeting are November 6-10, 2024, with the Job Fair being offered on Wednesday November 6, 2024.
Q: How do I get a copy of the presentation slides?
A: If the presenter has shared the slides, they will be available on the mobile app or website closer to the confernce.
Q: I don’t know my login credentials for the website or app. How do I get them?
A: You will have your login credentials emailed to you in the know before you go email.
CME
Q: Will the meeting offer CME?
A: The 2024 Annual Assembly (AA) provides the opportunity to earn more than 100 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. You can claim credit for ALL educational sessions you attend live at AA, or watch on-demand.
All sessions will be recorded and made available on-demand until early February 2025. After this time, all content will be converted over to AA Rewind 2024, which you can access through the Academy’s Online Learning Portal.

Q: How do I claim continuing education credits?
A: One hour of credit is awarded for each hour of education. The specific credit designation can be found in each session description.
- After viewing a session, click on the CME link within the session description page.
- You should be automatically logged in, but if not, login using your AAPM&R credentials. The email address where you receive Academy emails is your username to log in.
- Navigate to the “2024 AA Session Evaluations: Access Them Here” link, which will be the left menu once available.
- Complete an evaluation for each session you attended to claim your CME credit.
Q: When will the session evaluations be available?
A: Session evaluations will be available the morning after the session takes place, (i.e., Thursday sessions will be available Friday morning). Make sure to star the sessions you attended so you can easily reference them when completing your evaluation.

Q: What sessions are being livestreamed?
A: Four plenary sessions and 36 symposia sessions are being livestreamed from San Diego (Pacific Standard Zone).

Q: Will the sessions from the meeting be available for viewing on-deman after the meeting dates conclude?
A: Yes.
- Four plenary sessions and 36 symposia sessions are being livestreamed from San Diego and will be available on demand.

GOING TO SAN DIEGO
Q: Where will the events take place if I’m attending in-person?
A: All events will be held at the
San Diego Convention Center (900 Convention Center Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70130). Directions and parking information can be
found here.
Q: I have already registered and paid for the in-person meeting, but I can no longer attend. What are my options?
A: You can switch your attendance from in-person to virtual. To make changes to your registration, contact APPM&R’s Member Services at (847) 737-6000.
If you need to cancel, all cancellations for the Annual Assembly and preconference courses must be submitted in writing via email to registration@aapmr.org or via mail postmarked by October 8, 2024, to the address below. Cancellations submitted on or before October 8 will receive a refund of all fees paid, minus a $150 processing fee and processed 7-14 days after notification is received.

Q: Is the app really that important for this meeting?
A: Yes, it’s an essential onsite tool! Besides a simple pocket guide for the event, it’s the only comprehensive and up-to-date listing of events happening at AA24.
In the app you can:
- View session descriptions
- Evaluate the sessions to earn CME
- View and take notes directly on the presentations
- Ask questions to the presenters
- Browse posters
- Search the program by keyword, topic, or speaker
- Connect with other attendees
- Stay up-to-date with any program changes
For both the app and the virtual platform site, you will be prompted to log in with your AAPM&R Username and Password. If you don’t know it, simply click “Forgot Password.”
Q: How will I be able to ask the presenter questions at the meeting?
A: In-person attendees will be using the AAMP&R app to submit their questions to presenters within that session’s listing in the app. The virtual audience will also be adding their questions through the app and website. Isn’t technology amazing?! Both audiences will be able to upvote each other’s questions and hear the same answers.
Q: What sessions will I be able to watch live?

Q: I couldn’t watch a session live. What are my options?
A: All livestreamed sessions will be available for playback immediately after airing and will be up for viewing through early February 2025. Live streamed sessions will automatically convert to on-demand versions once the session has aired and ended. This can sometimes take up to 48 hours to occur. After that time, all content will be converted over to AA Rewind 2024, which you can access through the Academy’s Online Learning Portal.
Q. How do I access the virtual platform?

Q. What Internet browser should I use to access the Virtual Platform?
A. Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is the preferred internet browser.
The platform does not recommend accessing the conference while on your VPN. You may need to reach out to your IT administrator to surpass the firewall.
Q. Can I use my computer or my mobile device to connect?
A. You can use either your computer or your mobile device to connect to AAPM&R.

Q. Will a call-in number be available to listen to the sessions?
A. No, all audio will require computer speakers. Livestreams can also be watched through the mobile app.
Q. How can I test my device before the live sessions?
A. Testing your device is a great way to ensure you are ready on November 6! The platform provides a
System Check tool that runs a series of checks on your computer and web browsers to ensure that your device is suitable to use the full potential of the platform. If there are any problems then you will see either yellow warnings (things that can be improved) or red warnings (things that may limit your experience). Your organization's IT support team may be able to help you resolve any of these that are beyond your capabilities.
Run your System Check now!The platform does not recommend accessing the conference while on your VPN. You may need to reach out to your IT administrator to bypass the firewall.
Q. I'm having trouble loading sessions. What can I do?
A. Here are some tips to help your sessions stream seamlessly:
- Use the latest version of Google Chrome (preferred) or Mozilla Firefox
- Disconnect from your VPN (if applicable)
- If you are in the office, try another network (some offices have robust firewalls that will block video and video chat)
- If your office has a firewall, have your IT staff make sure that you can access streaming audio / video
- Clear your web browser history and cache (CTRL+F5 on PC and Command+R on Mac will do a hard refresh)
- Close any other tabs that may be using a lot of bandwidth
- If you are at home, make sure you are not also using streaming services like Netflix, etc. that could impact your available bandwidth
- Check your internet connection. Use a hard wired internet connection if possible. If you have to use WIFI, make sure you are close to the WIFI device

Q: How will I be able to ask the presenter questions?
A: The virtual audience will submit questions on the “Q&A” tab in the video player window. The in-person audience will also be contributing to the same Q&A using the mobile app. Isn’t technology amazing?! Both audiences will be able to upvote each other’s questions and hear the same answers.
Q: My app is making me log in each time I open it - what do I do?
A: Uninstall and reinstall the app on your device. This should fix the log-in loop issue.
